Ronnie James Dio ocupa un lugar de honor en el Olimpo de los cantantes del heavy. Fue cantante en Rainbow y en Black Sabbath. Posteriormente tuvo una reconocida carrera en solitario. Si bien me gustan todos los discos de Dio, mis favoritos son los primeros, en los toca la guitarra el genial Vivian Campbell. Esta actuación en directo pertenece a esa época. Ten Years After fue otro de esos fantásticos grupos británicos que a finales de los 60 y principios de los 70 mezcló el blues y el naciente rock duro. Siempre me impresionó la manera de pulsar las cuerdas del bajista (Leo Lyons) y, sobre todo, el virtuosismo y la fuerza del sensacional Alvin Lee (guitarra y voz).

Ten Years After was another of those fantastic British bands that mixed the blues and the emerging hard-rock in the late 60s and early 70s. I was always impressed by the way in which the bassist (Leo Lyons) struck the strings and, above all, by the mastery and energy of Alvin Lee (guitar and vocals).
